DESCRIPTION:Dare to Dream\, Dream to Build 2020 will be on Friday February 7 at the iHotel and Conference Center with doors opening at 530p. This event is hosted by the Home Builders Association of East Central Illinois\, benefiting Build My Future and Careers in Construction.\n\n\n\nBuild My Future is a non-profit workforce development program targeted to individuals interested in construction trades. The program brings together schools\, after school programs\, construction companies\, and the trades\, to foster the development of skills while building homes and revitalizing neighborhoods in our community.\n\n\n\nAccording to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics data and analysis by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)\, there are currently 373\,000 open construction sector jobs\, after reaching a post-Great Recession high of 434\,000 last year. This means there is ample opportunity for motivated students seeking a rewarding career path. The residential construction industry is one of the few sectors where demand for new workers is rising\, and the housing industry is working diligently to meet this challenge by training more workers and leaders in the construction industry. \n\n\n\nHBAECI is committed to a partnership to enhance Careers \n\nin Construction\, with community workforce development leaders to give the youth of East Central Illinois\, hands on experience\, as well as opportunities for careers in the construction industry.\n\n\n\nThe event will include a cocktail hour with live entertainment\, dinner\, a short program from the kids who have benefited from these programs AND we'll kick up the night with a whole lot of CASINO fun. There will be great silent and live auction items (Chef Experiences\, Trips\, etc) and just an overall fun party with a purpose - Las Vegas Style.\n\n\n\nChristie Battista (WCIA3 Morning News Anchor) and BigMike with Mega Events Auctions will return as our emcees for the night! \n\n\n\nIt's a party (with a purpose) and you won't want to miss it!!!
